Silver Chalice Challenge
General Statement of Purpose, Rules, and Eligibility
The purpose of the Black Health Care Initiative Coalition (BHCIC) Silver Chalice Challenge is to promote community-wide interest and involvement in fitness and health activities. Toward this end, measures are being taken to help assure fair and equitable competition for all participants. Specific rules have been developed and are included with the description of each event. However, rules and edibility requirements governing the competition in general are provided below.
Silver Chalice Challenge events are for eligible entered participants only! Eligibility rules are strictly enforced.
A violation may result in the disqualification of the individual, team, and/or church/organization from the event in which the violation occurs. Points will be adjusted accordingly.
The Silver Chalice Challenge Executive Committee will review each case brought to its attention. The decision of the Executive Committee is final.
ELIGIBILITY
- Participants must be members of the church/organization they represent. They should be 5 years or older.
- Participants must be on the membership of each church or organization at the time of the competition. As membership/employee numbers change, please inform us. Church members must be a member for 1 week prior to the start of Silver Chalice Challenge.
- Participants can be on only one team per event per entered church or organization.
- The Silver Chalice Challenge Executive Committee reserves the right to review all entries relative to eligibility.
- Silver Chalice Challenge intends to provide fun, fair competition for all involved. Unsportsmanlike behavior will result in removal and/or disqualification of the unsportsmanlike person and/or team.
- All Silver Chalice Challenge participants must sign the Roster which is also the “Release of Liability Statement”, upon entering the Silver Chalice prior to participation in any and all events.
